Fallout 4: 10 Crucial Things Fans Still Need To See At E3
9. More Than One Playable Time Period?
For the first time in the franchise we're getting a trip back to what it was like when the bombs hit, thereby showcasing a few key areas mapped out in their entirety. That means there's a heap of potential to flesh out the previously unforeseen state of the world at an extremely consequential time, alongside plenty of characters to interact with and - with any luck - a far stronger narrative drive that ties into exploring every nook and cranny of the world. Fans are already speculating there'll be an entire prelude/tutorial section set amongst the small town seen in the trailer - and if you extrapolate out the idea of visiting key areas in their prime versus returning far later down the line, it could be a really great and subtle way to show the impact of the nuclear fallout itself.
