10. Fawkes

Fawkes is a rarity in the Fallout series. As a super mutant his strength and combat durability are greatly enhanced as expected, however Fawkes is peaceful to the point of becoming a potential player companion and even manages to maintain the majority of his pre-mutated human intelligence. His ability to hold conversation and maintain a more peaceful demeanour sets him apart from his more violent species, however this sadly means that Fawkes is somewhat of an outsider in Fallout's mutant community. Shunned by other mutants - whether this be through their jealousy at his charming eloquence or the more likely perception he is weaker due to his more human characteristics - Fawkes is by no means weak however, and he makes a remarkably reliably companion for players who satisfy the right criteria to be able to call him friend. Fawkes eventually locates himself in Underworld but remains somewhat of a loner. It stands to reason, therefore, that a character such as this may take to the nomad's existence as he continues to search for a place he can truly belong. We know he craves this acceptance, as he works his way into Fallout 3 quests where he attempts to aid the player through the fact they are the only person he really knows. Fawkes' quest for companionship could easily see him become a reliably hulking bodyguard for players in Fallout 4 as well.
