Fallout 4: 10 Fan-Favourite Characters That Could Return

9. Mr. House

As Fallout: New Vegas' resident decrepit old geezer, it seems difficult to understand how Mr. House could be a particularly exciting or enjoyed character. The interactions that he can have with the player within the events of New Vegas are great, however, and the nostalgic personality that he emblazoned upon the wasted Vegas Strip made for some of that game's best locations. Still, while Mr. House's aspirations for the resurrection of his town and its population may have seemed admirable enough, the extreme lengths that the man goes to to maintain his physical presence and extend his life are extraordinary and selfish. The precious resources that would no doubt be spent at keeping his perfect chamber working could surely be better used elsewhere if he really cared about the survival of the strip? Mr. House's fate with players following quests for Caesar would have led to him becoming exposed to bacteria outside of his isolation chamber and ultimately condemning him to death. In theory, this could force a man so desperate to survive to transport himself away from his chamber in search of better means of survival somewhere else along the wasteland and the man certainly has the means to pull this off. Seeing how he manages to ingratiate himself with fellow survivors without being able to pull on the guise of the nostalgic, benevolent pensioner would add amusing depth to a character who was already marvellously layered in his first appearance.
