Fallout 4: 10 Incredible Franchise Moments That Made Us Hardcore Fans

3. Shooting The MIRV

People can argue all they want whether Fallout is a shooter or an RPG, but the game definitely has FPS elements. One of the key elements that make any FPS good (and fun) is the arsenal you have at your disposal. Sure, you get the pistols, the shotguns, the rifles, but you can find these in hundreds of other games. Players need something more memorable, something they can use to properly cause some wanton mayhem and destruction. Enter the MIRV. Fallout already gets a lot of props for the Fat Man, a rocket launcher that fires mini freakin€™ nuclear missiles. And it looks, sounds and feels awesome. First time you fire a Fat Man at somebody, you get a sensation of satisfaction which is impossible to describe. And then you find out that there is something even better. It€™s not really easy to come by, but the MIRV is an experimental Fat Man that actually shoots eight nukes at once. Eight times the nukes, eight times the fun, right? Just be very careful where you€™re pointing that thing!
