Fallout 4: 10 Jaw-Dropping Moments From The E3 2015 Demo
3. Base Building
Bethesda are touting one of the largest game worlds ever conceived so far - something that for the first time outside of Skyrim's Homestead DLC, you'll be able to contribute to. It's a bit of a strange inclusion considering in the conference they went from showing gameplay, to focussing on a free mobile game called Fallout Shelter (available now), to diving head-first into a robust base-building mechanic. Fans have definitely requested the ability to build their own militarised bases with which to stockpile armaments and items (as well as tuning up all manner of weaponry to blow mutants away whilst they're off adventuring) but it remains if this is the one big 'new' feature that becomes synonymous with the 'Fallout 4 experience' overall. How do you feel about building a base and role-playing more of an adventurer surviving in the wilderness? Perhaps you tend to play Fallout as the constantly moving "My home is the road"-type, thereby making all this stuff a bit pointless? Let us know in the comments.
