Fallout 4: 10 Killer E3 Announcements Besthesda Need To Make

1. Refined Combat

Tracking a Super Mutant through your rifle€™s scope? Good luck with that. Diving into a brawl with nothing but your bare fists? We didn€™t think so either. Lobbing a grenade through a doorway? Forget about it. Let€™s face it: outside of the marvellous VATS systems, combat was atrocious. The guns lacked any sense of impact, they were impossible to aim and they were effectively useless at long-ranged encounters. Melee combat - far from feeling visceral - often erupted into senseless contests of who had the biggest and sharpest stick. Worse still were the explosive weapons, which seemed explicitly designed for killing companions, innocent civilians and of course; the player. Bethesda desperately needs to make combat outside of VATS less frustrating and more fluid. There were certain conflicts in Fallout 3 and New Vegas that should have felt epic and grand but ended up coming across as naff and sterile. Gamers don€™t want to see VATS become useless or irrelevant, but they certainly want real-time combat to feel less frustrating and more satisfying. So what do you guys want to see in a new Fallout experience? Let us know in the comments!
