Fallout 4: 10 Killer E3 Announcements Besthesda Need To Make
10. More Character Customisation Options
The more recent iterations of Fallout have featured a character customisation system that gave the player a frankly pathetic number of options. Players could pick a name, a gender and a race for their character before being allowed to select their skin tone, hairstyle and customise particular facial features like the mouth or nose. By normal gaming standards these choices would suffice, but for an RPG the number of aesthetic options were laughable. Worse still, so slight were the changes made to this system between the release of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas that youd be forgiven for thinking the games featured an identical number of options. Character customisation is an integral part of any RPG, and Fallout has always felt lacking in this area. Sure, you get free reign over your characters abilities, but why not give players better control over the aesthetic qualities of their wastelander? It wouldnt hurt to include some more hairstyles, body shape and build options and perhaps even the choice to play as a Ghoul. These may not be essential additions to the series, but these changes would certainly expand and diversify the experience for fans and newcomers alike.
