Fallout 4: 10 Majorly Overlooked Features That Will Be Amazing
8. Endless Critical Attacks
Honestly, why in the world are people complaining about this? First seen in the debut footage way back at E3 in June, fans rallied to complain on forums as it felt as though giving you increased access to critical attacks (where you do a huge amount of additional damage) would ruin the flow of combat. I posit the opposite, as I think nailing headshots and popping limbs in the past games was easily one of the most satisfying sensations you could have. Plus, it's not like this freer approach to your best moves is infinite - it still has to charge up to activate. Just imagine a scenario where you're pinned down between a handful of buildings, trading fire with some random enemies. You've expended the crit meter for now, but if you can just make across the No Man's Land ahead of you and around the next corner, it'll make for a better percentage chance for everything to connect when you get it back. You do, and as the time-release Crit kicks in, you blow the whole lot of them to Kingdom Come, bloody chunks of former-evil raining down on all sides. This new inclusion is just to encourage more frantic gunplay, and it'll be glorious.
