Fallout 4: 10 Most Important Mods Every Player Needs

5. Armoursmith Extended

In the battlefield, you can't rely on just thin, single-layered pieces of dirty cloth to help deflect speeding bullets and defend you from red-hot, concentrated blasts from a laser rifle. But who ever said that it would be impossible to combine fashionable clothing with large, carefully-crafted chunks of metal to cover your vulnerable flesh?

Enter Armoursmith Extended; Fallout 4 fans will consider this expansive mod a fine inclusion to their post-apocalyptic role-playing experience.

For one thing, players can now wear pieces of armour over their everyday, civilian clothing, thus nullifying the need to swap between the two before entering combat. An abundance of new craftable pieces of attire, ranging from headgear and harnesses to customizable bits of armour for your beloved pooch Dogmeat, are all available to create at your own leisure.

For those who feel like renaming their clothing items with stupid or silly names can now do so without any fuss whatsoever. For the master craftsmen out there, a new piece of equipment called the Thermal Optics Combat Armour can be made. Harnessing the wondrous power of stealth camouflage technology, you can create cloaked pieces of armour, making it an excellent choice for deadly snipers, sneaky snakes and silent assassins.
