Fallout 4: 10 New Details We Learned From The Leaked Footage

Tons of new info and awesome screenshots galore, thanks to a HUGE leak from Bethesda's vault.

Fallout 4 is so close now that even Bethesda themselves can't contain it. It's safe to say that at the very least you're extremely excited to get your hands on the hotly anticipated post-nuclear RPG, and while we know broadly what to expect, Bethesda has kept news about the game as tightly-sealed as the underground vaults within. Unfortunately for them (but fortunately for you), a couple of videos and a whole stack of images have leaked across the internet, revealing never-seen-before in-game footage and swathes of new gameplay info. Not all fans have been positively receptive to what's within, but it's definitely got everyone talking as to how the full game is going to play come November 10th. For the millions of people who want to find out more tantalising information about one of the most anticipated games of the year - sans any big story spoilers, so don't worry - here are 10 new Fallout 4 details that we discovered from the leaks, accompanied by a slew of lovely leaked pictures.

10. Six Difficulty Settings With Scaling Loot, No 'Hardcore' mode

Offering a nice spectrum of challenge for players, Fallout 4 will include six difficulty settings - very easy, easy, normal, hard, very hard and 'Survival' - with each offering more legendary enemies and legendary items. The 'Survival' difficulty may confuse Fallout veterans, who may think that 'Survival' is equivalent to New Vegas' Hardcore mode, in which players had to eat, drink and sleep to keep their character alive. From what I understand, in Fallout 4, Survival mode is just another difficulty setting, and there won't be a similar option here to the NV's hardcore mode. This might disappoint fans, many of whom were hoping that Bethesda would build on the promising but over-simplified hardcore mode in New Vegas rather than get rid of it altogether. I sense widespread annoyance and a subsequent patch in the works for this one, or a plucky mod that will hopefully be available on the PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC.
