Fallout 4: 10 New Details We Learned From The Leaked Footage

1. Facial Expressions Still Look Weird

This list has hopefully given you plenty of tidbits to mull over in the final week before Fallout 4's release, but I'd be remiss to completely ignore the negative aspects reported from people who've played the game. With games like The Witcher 3 and GTA V coming along in the interim, players' expectations of how expressive NPCs can be have risen considerably. The blank potato-faces of previous Bethesda RPGs aren't acceptable any more, and at first glance it looked like Bethesda eradicated them with Fallout 4. But some players have reported that although the brighter, more vibrant visual style of Fallout 4 looks great overall (if not technically spectacular), character faces still have that strange thousand-yard-stare where it looks like their eyes are boring into the depths of your sou, or into the back of your skull. There's clearly an improvement here on previous games in the series, but there are early questions over whether Fallout 4's facial lineup will stand up to its rivals.
