7. Longevity

Just because a title has hundreds of hours of content, it doesn't automatically make it a contender for game of the year. What is important is the quality of that content, and that's something Fallout 4 will surely nail. RPGs are known for requiring a lot of hours to complete everything they have to offer, but sometimes you may find yourself doing tasks and quests that just feel like filler. Then there's the other cardinal RPG sin: walking around for ages trying to find what to do next. 100 hours of gameplay isn't very impressive when 20 of those hours were spent trying to find things to do. There were some sections that fell into this trap in the previous Fallout games, so expect that to be rectified in part 4.
