This could very well turn out to be the biggest new addition to Fallout 4. If there's one thing we've been sorely lacking in every past series entry, it's been the crappy, makeshift accommodation players have had to put up with. There's always been NPCs kind enough to give away free housing (there's not exactly many people left to occupy them) in Fallout's post-apocalyptic landscape, but we've never had a plot of land to truly call our own. Building upon Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC - that enabled players to purchase land and build lavish mansions upon it - Bethesda's taken that idea and ramped the dial up to 11. The studio hasn't been specific about how exactly you'll come to own such a large amount of land, but they certainly haven't been coy with what you can do with it. Renovation, defences, shops, armouries and everything in-between, you'll be able to carve-out your very own town to sit back and relax in after a hard days scavenging. Think Fallout Shelter but on a far, far bigger scale.
