And ultimately the most disappointing thing about FO4 is the thing that should matter above everything except the gameplay: the story, and the characters that inhabit that story. From the get-go the game feels pretty rushed when the epilogue sequence could easily have gone on for much longer, then some guys near-randomly give you Power Armour despite barely knowing you, missions typically lead to huge exposition dumps, there's a plot twist you can see coming a mile off, and then the game just...ends. It's also very telling that the most likable and personable characters in the entire game are robots, Nick and Codsworth, while most of the humans are flat and uninteresting, especially the player character. Considering that we're supposed to be invested in the protagonist's quest to get his son Shaun back, it's actually difficult to feel much about it, no matter how many side-quests you distract yourself with, What do you make of FO4 so far? Shout it out in the comments!
