Fallout 4: 12 Most Intriguing Rumours So Far

10. The Location

Fallout 3 was set in the greater Washington D.C. area, while New Vegas took gamers back to near the settings of Fallout 1 and 2 (and reused aspects from the cancelled Van Buren version of Fallout 3). While those two games seemed unconnected for the most part, it seems that Fallout 4 will possibly take some lead from the setting and events of Fallout 3 with the action moving onto Boston. This rumour stems from a casting call release that found its way into the hands of Kotaku, who promptly published parts of it. This would make it quite an interesting choice for a location, as gamers recently saw a historical recreation of Boston in Assassin€™s Creed 3. With both that game and Fallout 3, you can expect the game to have players visit several well-known historical locations such as Bunker Hill and the Paul Revere House. After all, who can forget climbing the Washington Monument or wiping out the slavers at the Lincoln Memorial? Choosing another historical location such as Boston could lead to further scenes such as those, although of course it remains to be seen if the release that Kotaku got ahold of is true €“ but given that their sources have previously revealed information entirely accurately about other games, the odds are that this is probably correct. Likelihood: 8/10
