Fallout 4: 14 Brand New Features You Need To Know About

9. There's No Level Cap

A bit of confusion on the forums as to what the 'XP cap' discussed in interviews actually pertained to, as one the one hand we were told back when F4 was announced, there'd be no level cap whatsoever - yet more recently we got the '275 perks' detail, throwing everyone off. My take is both are true. You'll have plenty time to plough as much time into every XP skill-tree because there's no level-cap. I'd imagine the staggering of your higher-tier abilities are intended to be picked up after a good 50 hours of game-time, but that also means at some point you'll hit the last bracket of unlocks, and can keep playing and levelling to your heart's content. It looks and feels as though Bethesda are making their most robust and staggeringly vast game yet; something that if they can tag on there's no endpoint to, will immediately cement it as one of the greatest role-playing games of all time.
