Fallout 4: 15 Ultimate Wishlist Features It Must Have
10. Multiple Quest Routes
The Fallout series of games are RPG games, obviously, meaning, even more obviously that you should be playing a role. Thus the game should not decide how your character should approach any situation, that should be down to you and how you want your character to act. Fallout 3 and New Vegas had multiple endings, and different factions you could align yourself with, and that's one of the reasons the game was so much fun to play. Fallout 4 needs to continue down this path of player freedom, allowing our choices to shape the game completely, following in the footsteps of other games like Dishonoured and Deus Ex, which allowed users to approach missions in a a very free manner. One of the most iconic moments of Fallout 3 was your choice about the fate of Megaton. Did you choose to destroy the town or save it? It was a great early quest that really made you feel that this world was yours to explore and effect at will. Fallout 4 needs to take things to an even greater level, allowing the player to attack quests completely as they see fit; each mission should seem open ended, attackable from any angle. Will you be diplomatic or aggressive? Will you be stealthy or gung ho? These shouldn't be choices you make in dialogue trees, but implicitly through your actions.
