Fallout 4: 21 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do

11. There's A Sweet Dynamic Cover System

Did you know Fallout 4 had a cover system? Bethesda seem to have forgotten to tell anyone, which is ridiculous, because it's brilliant. Born in the late 2000s in games like Medal Of Honor: Airborne, The Darkness and Killzone 2, the whole thing happens dynamically as oppose to a contextual prompt or icon. To pull it off, just run up to any spot you'd like to hide behind (say, the edge of a wall) and face it directly, like you would in any other FPS when you're in a position evading fire. Your character will react by turning his gun to the side, and it's then you can squeeze L2/LT to peek out and take potshots at your opponents. Honestly, it completely changes the game, lets you play it far more like a 'proper' shooter, and even makes things like putting mines down more tactical, as some enemies will try and rush up to you, only to get blown up or punched to death in the process.
