Fallout 4: 21 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do

10. How All Your Junk Works

As a way of delivering on the fan-request of crafting, ever single part of Fallout 4's world can be collected and broken down for further utilisation in the Settlement mode. Need led for an some electrical conduits? Raid a school and break down the pencils. Ceramics for a floor? Go on a hunt for some bathtubs and scrap them down to their base parts. All junk has value now, and although encumbrance will scupper you from amassing a few thousand steel buckets to produce a fancy new gun turret, regular trips back to your workbenches will auto-scrap your junk anyway. You can see what components are within everything inside your inventory by hopping into the Pip-Boy and clicking the Inspect button (R3 on PS4), and always remember you can scrap everything outside the Junk tab by dropping it on the floor in a Settlement zone, then hoovering it up with the Scrap button.
