Fallout 4: 7 Mods That Turn It Into A Realistic Survival Game

5. More Realistic Explosives

Download Better ExplosivesDownload Arbitration - AI - Stealth - Speed- Damage - Gameplay Overhaul and Tweaks One of the lingering problems to have carried over from previous Fallouts is the perplexing explosive damage in the game, as anyone from raiders to super mutants would often take a good two to three full-on frag grenades to take down (you, meanwhile, get quite easily eviscerated by the enemy 'nades, which always seem to land right at your feet). Well, no more with this mod, which tweaks all the explosive types in the game to be more realistic, which in most cases means bigger blast radiuses and more damage for both you and NPCs. Aside from more general explosiveness, the mod makes a few other clever little tweaks. The fire from Molotov Cocktails now burns longer, missile launchers are now more devastating than frag grenades (they dealt similar damage before), and the Fat Man lives up to its name with a devastating blast radius. If you want enemy grenades to be a bit less spammy, improve grenade detection distance, and make other realism tweaks including better stealth detection by enemies and reduced compass radar detection, then try the Arbitration mod pack linked above (try not to enable the same mods in it that you've already enabled with other mods, such as increased damage).
