Fallout 4 DLC: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do

1. Pretend You're God With A Lightning Gun

Lightning guns are great, letting you get your Zeus on by smiting your enemies with nature's lethal energy that's somehow managed to be contained in a gun. The Fallout universe has flirted with Lightning Guns before, with one being proposed for the Broken Steel DLC but never making it into the final game (plucky PC players can access it in the console). The 'lightning chain gun' is just one of several new weapons we'll be getting with the Automatron DLC, though the others haven't been named (probably because they'd pale in comparison). The fact that it's a chain gun suggests it'll be an automatic weapon, with the spinning barrels working so fast as to create a single, constant beam of lightning to fry your foes, ideally forking off to hit anyone in close proximity to them. Such a weapon is perfectly suited to the Fallout universe. True to its atomic-era setting, the series has been filled with the weaponisation of volatile energies like nuclear and electrical power. The Lightning Chain Gun will fit right in alongside the electrical Tesla cannon from previous games, and the Fat Man nuke launcher. What are you most hyped about doing in the upcoming DLC?
