5. How To Pick Up And Place Inventory Items
When in the workplace mode, the game will highlight things you can pick up, which is then as easy as hitting X/A and relocating appropriately. However, a feature the last two Fallouts started out telling you about, was picking up items to place them elsewhere; known as a 'grab'. In Fallout 4 this function returns, but you have to hold X/A when highlighting something when you're walking around, rather than in the workshop view. This will allow you to place guns and items - anything really - on any other surface (once you've dropped them out your Pip-Boy), so stock up your shelves, put Dogmeat's teddy bear on a suitably decorated chair, or have your favourite modded rifle take pride of place in your living room.
