Fallout 4 Settlements: 14 Crucial Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
6. Free Up A Ton Of Inventory Space
This is more of a general tip, but you're going to need all the inventory space you can muster if you want to collect all the necessary parts for your custom fortress. So, say you've dumped all your unnecessary items, weapons and apparel - what's still taking up two-thirds of your encumbrance stat? Weapons mods. See, every time you mod a weapon, whatever gets taken off your gun and/or replaced, gets resigned to its own tab in the inventory - one most of us leave alone under the assumption that they'll be useful somewhere else down the line. Thing is, whatever mods are on your guns, don't show up in this list, so you're free to deposit everything else into one of the workbenches (or scrap them) without it affecting whatever you're holding. There are also various perks you can grab that'll aid with this stat, and you can upgrade Power Armour to do the same - opening you up to an inventory space of around 500 to stash full of goodies. Talk about your things only Fallout fans will understand - having about 200 units of space is just stupidly satisfying.
