Even in its standard difficulty modes, Fallout 4 has always been pretty harsh when it comes to carrying capacity, forcing you to do regular fast-travel trips back to vendors or your workbench to offload piles of weighty goods.

In survival mode, it€™s a hell of a lot tougher, and unless you€™ve beefed out your Strength stat, then you€™ll find that you€™ll only be able to carry a small amount of weapons, not much armour in excess of what you€™re already wearing, and a limited amount of ammo (which now has weight too).

This means that the days of hitting €˜Take All€™ each time you loot are over. You€™ll need to be picky about what you take and what you leave behind, because it€™s easy to get overweight, and you can€™t fast travel. A good idea is to use the €˜Tag for search€™ option in the Pip-Boy, so you€™ll get an indicator telling you each time you stumble upon things that are worth picking up.

Also, if you haven't already, learn your ammo types, so you're not picking up hundreds of bullets for guns you don't even use.
