Remember the good ol€™ days of Normal or even Hard difficulty, when you could casually pick off entire raider or super mutant camp just for a bit of target practice? Worst-case scenario: you just die and reload from the quicksave you made just before attacking.

Well no more, because it can literally take just one precise head shot to kill you dead, as they say, and your death will send you rewinding back to your last place of sleep - whether that was a minute or an hour ago.

So unless you're confident you can end a skirmish quickly, don't go attacking everything in sight unless you have to. True to what a survival mode should be like, getting into fights is dangerous and potentially hugely costly. That doesn't mean you won't see any action though, because the constant need for food and water means you'll regularly have to fight to get your hands on crucial sustenance supplies.
