Fallout 5: 10 Biggest Items Fans NEED To See

5. More Populated Settlements

Settlements are the lifeblood of Fallout. The blank slate of a post-apocalyptic wasteland proves to be a perfect Petri dish of burgeoning states, settlements, and safehouses. Some of the best settlements in the history of the franchise can be found where wasteland inhabitants have used their creativity to secure long-term safety in the wastes.

Who could forget Junktown in the first Fallout game, wherein the inhabitants had built their community in the ruins of pre-war California? Or Rivet City in Fallout 3, where a rusted aircraft carrier had been transformed through necessity into the largest and most advanced settlement in the Capital Wasteland?

Even Diamond City in Fallout 4, where the terraces of pre-war Fenway Park proved perfectly capable of repelling raiders and other undesirables, allowing society to flourish within.

Old world tech being adapted to suit the needs of an apocalyptic civilisation has consistently proved one of the franchise's best sources of creative inspiration, and Fallout 5 would do well to follow suit by adding a wealth of NPC populated settlements for the player to explore.
