Fallout 5: 10 Ways To Blow Fallout 4 Out The Water
1. Multiplayer
Ever since Fallout Online was cancelled, many fans have dreamed of what Fallout multiplayer would be like, and it seems to be a concept worth revisiting. On paper, an online Fallout experience would work as the open world is vast and varied, with plenty of side missions to take part in and plenty of hideouts to take down. The thought of taking down a stronghold with your buddy in control of your companion is enough to drive fans to demand an online component to Fallout.
The experience would likely be similar in format to that of Elder Scrolls Online or GTA Online, where there's free roaming and plentiful missions to take part in with friends. That simple framework could then improve and evolve as development proceeds, leading to a hopefully unique-feeling experience unlike any other multiplayer on the market.
There'd be a reliable player base on launch day, and those players would stick around as long as Bethesda's committed to update and improve the experience as time goes on, using fan feedback as a means of direction. Bethesda just has to be sure to stack their servers, learn from GTA Online, and make sure players can actually log in to multiplayer on day one.
For now, Fallout fans can dream of the pure chaos that would unfold in a Fallout team death-match, and keep their fingers crossed that Fallout 5 makes those dreams a reality.
