4. A More Intuitive User Interface
Further evoking the awkward and clunky feel in F4 is the laughably creaky user interface. Well, it'd be laughable if it wasn't so counter-intuitive to creating an immersive experience: in the Pip-Boy, selecting favourite weapons is awkward and time-consuming, and the map is a mess to navigate around when trying to plot your next route. What else? Crafting and settlement-building are not only poorly explained by the game itself but again not at all intuitive to use, and you could easily get 20 levels into the game before realising that you can scroll down through the perks menu to find other abilities. The game feels like it's actively working against you sometimes, and though this was a problem in previous games, the fact that Bethesda seemingly refuse to fix it makes it seem all the more infuriating here.
