The Fallout series has very recently become associated with ridiculously quick turnarounds, being the closest thing to a surprise album drop the video game world can get.

Bethesda has continued the trend with Fallout 76, announcing that it exists and then immediately following it up with a release date that's just around the corner. Consequently, players will be able to get their hands on the multiplayer game November 14th 2018, almost three years to the day after the previous entry in the franchise hit shelves.

Not only that, but to make sure the title's multiplayer servers are up to scratch and the game launches smoothly (which, lets face it, probably isn't likely considering this is Bethesda after all), the devs are holding a beta prior to release. Details haven't been revealed yet, but it suggests players will be able to experience the title even sooner than they expected.
