Fallout 76: 10 Reasons It Failed

3. Connection Problems Are Common

Although a big influx of players is expected to make connection a problem in the first week of release, Fallout 76 has made it a much bigger problem.

Chances are when you get into Fallout 76, you'll be disconnected shortly after. Players have been documenting the connection issues since the game launched and they tend to be numerous.

If that wasn't bad enough on its own, a lot of the connection issues cause glitches as well, such as removing hours of progress or getting rid of loot. It's a whole new level of Bethesda bugs, and something that is hopefully being properly looked into.

Connection problems are another consequence of having an always-online world, which must be especially painful for the people who want to play the game on their own.

A potential fix for this could be to add private servers to the game that allow players to play completely on their own. A basic feature like that should really already be a part of the game, but hopefully Bethesda are going to add it.
