Fallout 76: 6 Important Trailer Clues You Totally Missed

Fallout 76
Bethesda

Before the release of a Fallout game, people are eager to know the date and location. It seems Bethesda aren't hiding the former, however - the first thing we see is a Pip-Boy with the date and time 27 October 2102, at 6:34am.

Fallout games have taken place increasingly far in the future, with New Vegas set in 2281 and Fallout 4 set in 2287. The year 2102 so far has no lore in the Fallout universe, meaning we're exploring the dark ages of the universe.

If the Pip-Boy is correct, the game takes place thirty-five years and four days after The Great War that made the place a post-apocalypse in the first place. We're likely going to be seeing the genesis of many of the elements of the wasteland we know today - perhaps examining the Brotherhood of Steel, the New Californian Republic or a new faction altogether.

I'm based in the UK, looking to make a career out of writing about entertainment and culture. The only thing I like as much as watching films, playing games or listening to music is enjoying as much hummus and crisps as I can while I do so. My favourite film is Eddie the Eagle and I like any game that lets me wander around beautiful worlds (or eat hummus and crisps).
