Fallout 76: 9 Past Franchise Problems It Can Finally Fix
6. Unreliable Companions & Broken NPCs
Another upside to having human companions and NPCs rather than continuing with the broken - and often hilarious - Bethesda A.I.
We've seen everything from companions getting stuck in world geometry to accidentally firing on friendlies, falling off parts of the world to just plain not moving or levitating away from the mission area.
Bethesda are known for buggy games when they're this big and complex, yet this gets game-breaking when NPCs either don't respond to their scripting, or helper companions don't, well, help.
All that goes away with the human element across the wasteland... providing you don't buddy up with someone who just wants to shoot you in the back, anyway.
