Fallout London: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

1. London Calling

Fallout has given us some wonderfully memorable cities to explore, from the shining lights of New Vegas to the shattered streets of Boston, the craters of DC and the polluted hellscape of The Pitt.

Each and every city has been made with a particular attention to its character, carrying a distinctive style that helps bring them to life and make our gaming experiences all the more immersive

Fallout: London will be taking that to the next level, giving us a city overflowing with character. London itself is already a melting pot of cultures and distinctive landscapes, all of which will be twisted through the grimy lens of the Fallout world.

Between the wildly toxic Thames, a Croydon devastated by fracking disasters, the decaying ruin of Buckingham Palace and the labyrinth tunnels of the Underground, Fallout: London is going to be as memorable for its environment as it will be for its gameplay.

My passion for all things Sci Fi goes back to my earliest days, when old VHS copies of Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet gripped my tiny mind with their big, noisy vehicles and terrifying puppets. I'd like to say my taste got more refined over the years, but between the Warhammer, Space Dandy and niche Star Wars EU books, perhaps it just got broader. I've enjoyed games of all calibre since I figured out that dice weren't just for eating, and have written prose ever since I was left unsupervised with some crayons next to a white wall. I got away with it by calling it "schoolwork" for as long as I could, and university helped me keep the charade going a while longer. Since my work began to get published, it's made all those long hours repainting the walls seem worth it.
