Fallout: New Vegas - 10 Things Nobody Admits It Did Better Than 3

8. Weapon Mods

What made the increased viability of different playstyles even more enjoyable in New Vegas though was the implementation of weapon mods. Unlike the third game where the addition of a scope would require an entirely new gun, Obsidian's title let you tailor your weapons to your liking, giving you a plethora of attachments and ammo types that added a whole bunch of customizable options to the game. And because most of the time these add-ons and additions looked like they were scraped together with leftover junk and outdated old-war technology, it only served to increase the rustic aesthetic of New Vegas' post-apocalyptic landscape. There was something cool about modifying these weapons almost haphazardly to create an attachment that would be taken for granted in Call of Duty or Battlefield. Fortunately, it looks like Bethesda got the memo that people just love tinkering around with weapons in their games, because with the upcoming fourth title, it looks like the developer is going all out to give players the ability to create whatever crazy force of destruction they so desire.
