Rideable pachyderms are all very well, but a Far Cry game needs a wide range of proper firepower if it wants to maintain the series' reputation for open-ended, volatile gunplay. Fortunately, Far Cry 4 has this angle covered beautifully. Silenced sniper rifles, automatic crossbows and C4 all make an appearance in Far Cry 4, offering players many different options in how they want to take down their foes. It's also now possible to drive and shoot at the same time, which should allow for visceral gunfights at high speeds - especially now that it's possible to leap from between moving vehicles. Guns aren't the only means at protagonist Ajay Ghale's disposal, and he's adept with the various knives and other melee weapons featured in Far Cry 4. Everything about the fourth game screams choice, and Ubisoft looks to be granting players a huge amount of tools with which to paint the mountains red.
