Far Cry 4: 5 Amazing Things We Saw At E3

3. Everything About The Multiplayer Is Amazing

Co-op is going to work a little differently in Far Cry 4. For one thing, your friends don't actually need to own a copy of the game to play multiplayer with you, which is a crazy-brave decision considering it could eat into some of Ubisoft's profits. Nope, so long as one of you owns a copy of the game your friends can jump right in, presumably downloading a bare bones version of the game to their console since streaming an open world environment on this game's scale would be impossible...right? And they'll be wanting to join you too, since the co-op mode looks totally awesome. Whilst it locks you out of the main story missions, the multiplayer mode does allow you to raid outposts together and generally cause some mayhem, with the added bonus of being able to fly in a two-man helicopter that looks like Little Nellie from You Only Live Twice. Not only that, but your pals can jump in and out of your game as they please, and the progress you make will carry on in the single player mode. So if you find yourself in a tight spot, you can call in reinforcements, sort it out, and they can go back to their own game.
