2. There Are Fantastic Beasts, And You Can Use Them
Local wildlife has always been a big part of the immersive, open-world Far Cry experience, but never have they affected the gameplay this much. Besides the addition of location-appropriate animals like yaks and hawks, - which will interact with each other and whom you can bait, hunt and then eat as per Far Cry 3 - there are also huge friggin' elephants. Huge friggin' elephants that you can ride, no less. In the gameplay trailer released online after the E3 unveiling, we got a taste of how you can rile up elephants to help you during some of the tougher battles, winding them up and letting them go to blaze a trail of destruction with their huge trunks, tearing down walls and smashing cars to pieces. There was also the promise that you can hop up on top and ride these majestic creatures, which is obviously the only way we are going to be playing this game now.
