Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do
8. Set Boomer Onto Enemies
Boomer is your canine companion in Far Cry 5. Introduced by executive producer and creative director Dan Hay as being "Fangs for Hire", he'll be able to mark enemies, sniff out weapons to retrieve and help perform takedowns. So far, so cool.
But he can also help with hunting in the wilderness, which should make getting that last ammo pouch or wallet crafting challenge slightly easier than before.
What's more is that Boomer is not the only animal aquaintance you can have. There are to be other dogs to team up with (not yet revealed by Ubisoft) as the developers want you to feel like you have a pet alongside you throughout the game since the companion system from Primal was well-received.
The other systems are friends for hire - for co-op play, and guns for hire: the example in promotional material is Grace Armstrong. She's a sniper who can mark targets and assist in taking over towns by backing you up when help is most needed. But nothing compares to have a savage dog on hand.
