Far Cry Primal: 8 Things We Learned From The Gameplay Footage
4. Your Rope Is The New Grappling Hook
The grappling hook was one of the more useful gameplay features of Far Cry 4, though it was regrettably underused as there were only specific designated points where you'd actually get the prompt allowing you to use it. Obviously, they didn't have flashy, high-techy grappling hooks 'back in the day', so they replaced it in Far Cry Primal with... a rope! Yes, they knew how to climb things in the stone age too, though you imagine that with the lack of radio masts and man-made towers in the game that there'll be less actual stuff to climb. While not much has been revealed about how the 'new' grappling hook will work, here's hoping that you're able to use it much more freely than in Far Cry 4, finding vantage points on rocks and clifftops other than the ones that the developers decided you should be allowed to scale.
