3. Disgruntled Children
Don't be fooled, I'm not actually talking about children, I'm referring to people that behave like disgruntled children. This only happens in Virtual Pro and Team Play modes. A lot of it has to do with EA's online being sub-par too. Sometimes, when choosing which position to play as, the timer that counts down gets locked/doesn't appear. As such, the match will not start until everyone has chosen their position, since the lobby can't time-out anymore. From this, appears one of the most frustrating things in the game: The Disgruntled Child. What is the disgruntled child? It's the person who, having missed out on picking his/her favourite position, chooses to take advantage of the 'no time-out' glitch and just sits in the lobby, waiting eternally until someone vacates a position he/she wants. People are essentially being held hostage until the 'child' gets what he wants. This is another very frustrating moment in FIFA online play. Not only have people already waited at the team selection lobby, now they have to wait until the 'child' gets his/her way. Of course, many times they don't wait, especially people from the opposing side who have all their slots filled. Many a time loads of people will quit the match potentially leaving 3-4 people left. Which, as those who really like the Virtual Pro/Team Play mode know, kind of defeats the purpose of playing that mode in the first place. You want that hectic playing field of loads of players on a team. To have to rely on the A.I. is as boring as can be. And if you yourself just can't wait for the 'disgruntled child'? Well, you just have to go through the whole lobby process once again. Time wasting at its finest.
