6. Aberdeen SPL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3Cb1whsfTw How strange it will be to see FIFA 13 without Rangers. It would be like the Spanish League missing Barcelona or Madrid. On paper its a one horse race as Celtic steamroll their way to another top SPL championship. Luckily, Celtic have not dominated everyone and the other teams have provided a challenge. This is a wonderful opportunity for another team outside of the Old Firm to win the SPL for the first time since 1984-85. On that occasion it was Aberdeen who lifted the trophy, in part thanks to the efforts of their manager; a young Alex Ferguson. The Scotsman is the most successful Aberdeen manager in their history, having won three league titles, four Scottish cups and even the European Cup Winners Cup. At the time the Dons boasted some of the top Scottish talent available, including a young Alex McLeish, Gordon Strachan and Willie Miller. In the final of the Cup Winners Cup the Aberdeen went up against the mighty Real Madrid. They defeated the Whites 2-1 in extra-time to become only the third Scottish team to win a European trophy. The current state of Scottish football does not inspire confidence that the Dons could win a European trophy once more. So, why not take over at Aberdeen at attempt to win that SPL crown? Utilise some of the best Scottish talent and see how far the Dons can go in Europe.
