To be completely fair here, FIFA 13 did improve the AI in terms of giving us a challenge when we were playing offline. I'm sure there are offline players out there who have already mastered it and find it easy but I find Legendary difficulty hard on this FIFA - which is good as previous instalments were far too easy. My real annoyance with the AI comes from two points. Firstly, when you have the ball. When I have the ball I often find that my AI team mates make the most inept offensive runs and don't help me at all. I think I'm correct in saying that EA said they were fixing the offensive runs on FIFA 13 to allow players to bend their runs in order to stay onside. Well, that didn't really work out and I often find that my team mates make things worst rather than better when I'm going forward. Secondly, marking. When I'm defending I expect my defenders to follow their man so I can avoid the insanity of watching my opponent simply "chip through ball" his way towards my goal. This new feature simply does not work. Your defenders only track your oppositions' runs half the time and this leads to easy goals as your defenders stand still and watch the other team's striker walk towards goal. I'm not saying the defenders should successfully follow the attackers every single time because that wouldn't be realistic, but the lack of defensive tracking definitely needs to be made less common.
