2. Better Collision Detection
See the above image? That's Mario Balotelli going up for a header, but instead appears to be on the verge of nutting the AC Milan player on the chin. I've actually had a player sent off for this. I've attempted to perform a defensive header, only for my player to clash heads with the opponent and receive a red card. After about 5 or 10 minutes rolling around on the floor laughing my head off, I then realised that for a FIFA game, this was actually fairly ridiculous. I've committed fouls without going anywhere near the "tackle buttons" simply because an opponent has ran into me, or tried to win a header in an aerial battle. Fouls should only be committed when I scythe down a player with the square button, or hack at their heels with the circle button, not because I'm simply in the way. This is especially infuriating when penalties are awarded when I've been adjudged to have tripped someone in the box, despite the fact I hadn't pressed a single button on the controller. Off-the-ball collisions are all well and good but they got a little bit out of hand in FIFA 13 and EA need to work out a better way to implement them.
