2. More Animations = More Shooting Abilities

We've already talked about the addition of more animations to the next generation versions of FIFA 14, from the ball boy-featuring cut-scenes through to the way players behave out on the pitch. But there's one more way the abundance of new animations effects 14, and that is how the ball is struck. Now, you can take shots on goal from places that simply aren't there in current generation versions, making shooting a much more unpredictable experience and lending to those 30-yard howitzers we see every week in the topflight. The aforementioned Ignite Engine is responsible for all this, because thanks to the litany of new animations it helps provide, shooting the ball and even crossing it are going to feel like more unique experiences. Ping a cross from one side of the pitch to the other, for example, and the ball will swerve in the air, depending on the spin from the kick. Take a pot-shot from way out, and the ball will dip along the way. One shot at goal will never be exactly the same as the last, making connecting with a spherical pig's bladder with the foot of a pampered millionaire feel that bit more enjoyable.
