FIFA 15: 10 More CONFIRMED Player Ratings

9. Carlos Tevez (85)

Carlos Tevez has taken a slight hit in EA's ratings and has dropped from 86 in last year's game to 85 in the new one. His demotion can likely be explained by the fact he missed this summer's World Cup, and his inability to increase his reputation at the finals in Brazil likely factored into the decision making here. Yet he still makes the top 50-rated players in the game and, oddly, outstrips Karim Benzema on every level. All of his stats are better than Benzema's - pace, dribbling, shooting, defending, passing, physicality... And even if that's the case, why then does he not have a higher overall rating than the Fenchman? First of all, we don't think Tevez is a better player than Benzema. At 30, there's no way he's faster, while the only stat we agree with is that he is indeed a more physical player. The striker has dropped off the radar since leaving Manchester City, but did score 19 Serie A goals last term - two more than Benzema managed. But then, La Liga is a much more competitive division than Italy's, so if that's the only thing that factored into EA's decision to rate the Argentinian higher than Benzema, that's pretty weak.
