FIFA 15: 10 Features We Can Expect To See Transferred From 2014 World Cup Game
3. Improved Stadium Atmosphere
Stadiums in FIFA have become a bit flaccid over the years, with the fans looking like cardboard cut-outs jumping up and down, as only one of their many visual problems. EA started to make amends to this with FIFA 14 on the Nextgen consoles but they are now taking their next, and biggest, step with the World Cup title. The crowd rendering in the game is completely new and brings with it more flags, chants and animations than we've ever seen in a FIFA title before. It's not a big change to FIFA but it is frustrating when you score a 40-yard screamer, only to see the fans respond with a gentle jump and cheer. EA describes the changes as bringing the World Cup atmosphere alive but it won't quite mimic the responses we see in the real world, particularly as South American fans are notoriously patriotic and a little bit crazy. That said, it will bring the game to life a bit more and we will be able to enjoy England winning the World Cup in as much of a realistic fashion as possible.
