We haven't seen too many goalkeepers in the top 50-rated players reveal so far - just three in fact, Chelsea duo Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois along with Tottenham stopper Hugo Lloris. Cech has been affixed a point score of 85 while teammate Courtois is marginally ahead of the veteran keeper on 86. And we feel the former Atletico Madrid man should be a LOT higher. Courtois has been one of the best goalkeepers in Europe over the last few seasons while out on loan at Atletico and there has to be more of a distinction between he and Cech, for there's absolutely no way that they're just as good as each other. The Belgian international only conceded 24 goals from his 37 La Liga appearances last season, while he has usurped Cech from Chelsea's starting XI. Lloris meanwhile is rated 85 and again we feel that's too close to Courtois's points score and doesn't accurately represent the gulf in class between the two. As one of the best goalkeepers in world football, the 22-year-old deserves to be in a class of his own and we'd have had him in our top 20 off the back of his performances over the last 12 months.
