FIFA 15: 10 Things EA Think You Don't Notice

1. That The Global Transfer Network Is Rubbish

It's shiny! It's new! It's awful! We all like new things, they provide us with a fresh perspective and the new functionality instantly makes us feel good about using it. The global transfer network does just this, but after a few seasons it isn't new anymore and a few of it's less glamorous features begin to seep through. To begin with, the removal of the OVR ratings on players is a nice touch, it provides obscurity to the lesser known players and does introduce a more accurate approach to management. It would have been prudent for the EA team to really vamp up the scouting system to account for this change though, but they didn't. It seems that we weren't supposed to notice that our scouts would often not find a good goalscorer from Spain and would find a great CM when asked to find a LB. Fast forward a number of years and you want to find the next top talent. The scouts return with very vague information on players who have been generated and there really is no way of finding who the top talents are and instead you have to randomly select a few players and hope one of them is the real deal. Do you have any other bugbears with EA and the FIFA franchise that you just wish would go away? Leave them in the comments below...
