FIFA 15 Ultimate Team: 10 Legends Who Were Criminally Overlooked

10. Eric Cantona

Suggested Rating €“ 89 Having just spent a preposterous £59.7 million on ngel Di María, many Manchester United fans must have remembered the days when they forked out just £1.2 million for Eric Cantona back in 1992. The great Frenchman hadn€™t even been the club€™s first choice €“ Ferguson had originally made unsuccessful bids on David Hirst, Matt Le Tissier and Brian Deane to match the big spending of Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers (how different football used to be!). After a relatively humble entry to England€™s biggest club, the Frenchman€™s exceptional quality quickly became apparent, ushering in United€™s glory years during the 90s. Cantona€™s success in Manchester came thanks to his bag fulls of natural technical ability, towering physical presence and Zlatan-esque arrogance, often seen with his chest puffed-out defiantly challenging defenders to test him. The thought of Cantona playing behind Sweden€™s great striker is the stuff of every FIFA-player€™s dreams. His excellence at Manchester United in the early 90s is still fondly remembered by the Reds to this day with their €œEric the King€ chant still sung before virtually every game €“ it€™s a great shame that EA€™s memory doesn€™t seem to be as lucid as that of the United fans.
