FIFA 17: 10 Overpowered Players Who Will Dominate

2. Gareth Bale

How's that for controversy? Gareth Bale, humble Welshman turned superstar ranking above Lionel Messi? Some may decry this as heresy, but the fact is that Bale promises to be right up there in FIFA 17. Just like in reality, the Real Madrid right-sided winger will leave defenders in his wake.

Given that the man used to play in defence for Spurs, EA have handed him a colossal 57 rating for defending. That's generously high, meaning Bale's stamina will also be unrelenting. There's little doubt, he's someone gamers can spam the sprint button with and expect his energy bar to remain relatively intact throughout each match.

In the more measured world FIFA is becoming, that harks back to a more arcade feel of yesteryear. Nobody is faster than Gareth Bale in this year's title, that 94 pace stat speaks for itself. Use that effectively to sprint past everyone and shoot from range, and Bale will be the old-school player's attacker of choice.

Great passing (84), dribbling (86) and decent physical abilities (76) make Bale totally lethal.
